Cayenne's not a puppy any longer

Cayenne's not a puppy any longer. She was spayed last Saturday and she's doing very well. When we picked her up from the vet hospital she was very groggy and had to be carried but was happy to be going home. Later that evening I took here out to do her business by carrying her, putting her in one of her spots, and it was all that she could do to squat. Did that a couple of times
and then again at 3:00 AM.

Next day she was feeling much better based on her activity level and her appetite returned. Monday she was really back - jumping and playing and running (the vet said none of that activity for 10 days - yeah right -she's a dog!!)

I've included a picture of her incision because I was surprised now small it is. They actually had her on an IV and had to shave one of her front legs to insert it. I have the Wellness Plan with Banfield so there was no cost for the spaying but they provided an itemized list of costs which totaled over $1,100!!! Scary!

Hopefully she'll be back to Club Canine this Wednesday; I know she's missing Millie and her canine (and human) friends.

Open House

A special thanks to everyone who came to the member's only event last night. I think everyone enjoyed it and had a great time. Thanks also to Marilyn for speaking to us about Mannitech. I'm excited about this new product and look forward to seeing it work for our doggies.

Melvin

Melvin was neutered last week and had to be separated from his friends. Here he is protesting! Get better soon Melvin so you can play!

Just a few words and photos...

First off, I just want to thank Traci for letting me work for her. This is the first job I've had that I find truly rewarding. Not only do I work with amazing people, I take care of amazing dogs. I am only starting my 4th week, but I can say now that I love what I do and I love each and every dog that comes to CC; each one has already etched a place in my heart.

Second, I took a few photo's to day. I wanted to get all of the kids, but only got a few. Don't worry though! I'll get them all soon ;o)

Now, on to the photo's:

I hope you enjoy them all!

Who Let The Dogs Out?

Toby B.

Who can resist this face? Toby was adopted by his mom, Lee, at the animal shelter in Caldwell County. He was scheduled to be euthanized on his adoption day. According to Chad Barr, at Caldwell Animal Control, dogs turned in only have a few days to be adopted, because of space limitations. If you or someone you know is looking for a dog PLEASE send them to Caldwell Co. Animal Care and Control for a visit. You or they may be an angel for a lucky dog. Traci

Dogs at Play

The dogs are loving the new larger space. Here are some pics of them at play.

To: Traci and Club Members

I just wanted to say Thank You for all the happy b-day wishes!!!!! I have been truly blessed to be apart of Club Canine and work with such great people. Traci- I am so blessed to have you as a boss and friend. I think it is very rare that someone moves from another state to work with someone they've never met and mesh the way that we have, we really do make a great team. I've had a lot of jobs and never have I enjoyed coming to work like I do now. I really can't imagine working for or with anyone else. Members- You all also play apart in making my job so enjoyable. To meet so many AWESOME people like you guys all in one place is rare too. Moving away from all my family and friends has been tough but Club Canine and all the awesome people involved with it have made this transition in my life so easy. I know that God has put each one of you in my life for a reason and for that I am so very thankful (Mufasa is thankful too). Everyday when I see all of you and your dogs smiling faces (yes your dogs are smiling) I know I am right where God wants me to be and that is the best feeling in the world!!!

You guys and your dogs are the greatest and I love you all,
Melissa

Happy Birthday Melissa!

Melissa,
How can I ever say thank you? When I met and hired you I felt that I had found someone special but I had no idea just how special you would become. You are an absolute treasure to me and to Club Canine. CC would not be what it is without you. You have shown me and our members nothing but sheer loyalty and dedication. If money could pay for your worth you would be the richest woman in the world (watch out Oprah!). Thank you Melissa and I hope your birthday is a happy one. You deserve it! Love ya! Traci
