Cayenne's not a puppy any longer. She was spayed last Saturday and she's doing very well. When we picked her up from the vet hospital she was very groggy and had to be carried but was happy to be going home. Later that evening I took here out to do her business by carrying her, putting her in one of her spots, and it was all that she could do to squat. Did that a couple of times
and then again at 3:00 AM.
Next day she was feeling much better based on her activity level and her appetite returned. Monday she was really back - jumping and playing and running (the vet said none of that activity for 10 days - yeah right -she's a dog!!)
I've included a picture of her incision because I was surprised now small it is. They actually had her on an IV and had to shave one of her front legs to insert it. I have the Wellness Plan with Banfield so there was no cost for the spaying but they provided an itemized list of costs which totaled over $1,100!!! Scary!
Hopefully she'll be back to Club Canine this Wednesday; I know she's missing Millie and her canine (and human) friends.
